T-Mobile unveils Revvlry smartphones

T-Mobile unveiled its new Revvl Low-budget smartphones, Revvlry and Revvlry +, expected to be launched on July 19. Boasting that phones have "flagship features without the main price," T-Mobile will charge $ 8.34 a month, with zero, for Revvlry and 14 plus $ 14 a month for Revvlry + on 24-month contracts.

The phones, announced Tuesday, are variants of the budget Motorola calls G7 (Revvlry +) and G7 Play (Revvlry). Although T-Mobile has changed the names, it has not removed the Moto brand such as the Max Vision screen and the Turbo Power quick charge. In an email to CNET, T-Mobile called Motorola a "great partner" by helping to bring future versions of its Revvl smartphones to life.

John Legere, CEO of T-Mobile, has called this offer "extraordinary phone with the features you expect from a high-end phone without the high-end cost."

The phones come with a magenta power button, a 3000 mAh battery, a face unlock, fingerprint sensors and a 1.8 GHz octa-core processor. They also use Android 9.0 Pie.

The Revvlry has a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera, a 5.7-inch HD + Max Vision display, 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM and a Qualcomm SD632 chipset. The Revvlry + features two 16MP and 5MP rear cameras, a 12MP front camera, a 6.24-inch FHD + Max Vision display, 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM and from a Qualcomm SD636 chipset.

Both models are black only and the above prices will only be available for "qualified customers" on the installment plan spread over T-Mobile's zero interest material.

The updated phones arrive almost two years later T-Mobile has announced its own low-budget phone, the book, in August 2017.
