Google first added a convenient tool for automatically entering passwords in Oreo and has not changed much since. In the latest version of Android Q Beta 5, Google has slightly changed the appearance of automatic typing. Minor performance improvements could also be made.

The most obvious change to automatically fill in Android Q Beta 5 is the redesign of the pop-up window containing your account information. Instead of the framed window appeared in previous versions of the service, the corners of the pop-up window are now rounded, which corresponds much better to the rest of Android Q.
Of course, this only applies to third-party auto-refill services, because Google's autofill option had these rounded angles before beta 5. As a LastPass user, the change was immediately made feel. My colleague Kyle Bradshaw also noted with Keepass2Android, the password manager of his choice, that the rounded angles also applied.
On a completely anecdotal point, the Beta 5 also seems to speed up the automatic refilling process on Android Q. Even compared to the Beta 4, I notice some slight improvements in overall speed and the difference compared to Android Pie is also noticeable. However, this could be attributed to overall system improvements or simply to different devices. So I can not say for sure that Google has completely changed the scenes to accelerate the automatic filling in Android Q.
The Developer Options section also contains some autofill settings. This is not new for Beta 5, but it was not mentioned before in our Android Q cover.
