LOS ANGELES – The celebration was interrupted for a member of the US football team, World Cup champion, after discovering that someone had robbed his hotel room in Los Angeles .
Allie Long tweeted Thursday, after the team was honored at ESPYS on Wednesday night.
Long wrote: "Someone stole my wedding ring, my money and the key to my favorite city." It refers to the symbolic key that the Mayor of New York City, Bill de Blasio, handed to the players following a parade of video tapes on Wednesday.
After the @ESPYS shows that someone stole my wedding ring, money and key to my favorite city after receiving it from my hotel room. Do you make copies @NYCMayor ? I would like a new one.

In her message, she asked Blasio if they made copies because she "would like a new one". Blasio says that he will send her a replacement key for the city.
Sorry to hear, Allie. Hold on. Do not worry about the key. Like all good New Yorkers, we keep a reserve for our neighbors! We have you covered. https://t.co/B5xqZPMZnU

KABC-TV reports that Los Angeles police are watching a video of the hotel where Long was staying.
