Dragon Age 4, or the name of his choice, is currently under development at BioWare. The game was put on hold while the developer struggled with ANTHEM, but now, to our knowledge, this is the studio's main project. That said, we do not know much about it and it will probably take a while before we get concrete details. Supposedly, the next Dragon Age has already been pushed and pulled in multiple directions, and to be honest, it's hard to trust BioWare given its latest production.
But it's easy to be cynical when executives leave quickly. Ben Irving, chief producer on ANTHEM, announced that he was leaving the developer earlier this week. Today, Dragon Age's lead producer, Fernando Melo, has also confirmed his departure. Melo has been in the business for 12 years.
In an email addressed to his colleagues – which Melo shared on Twitter – BioWare's veteran describes the upcoming Dragon Age as "the definitive experience of Dragon Age" and expresses his eagerness to play the finished product. We hope he's right.
