BOSTON (AP) – Eduardo Rodríguez threw up 7 1/3 in the stellar round, red Rafael Devers signed a two-run homer and the Boston Red Sox beat the Black Soles 4-0 on Saturday night for their fourth consecutive victory.

The win came hours after Boston Sale had left-footed Chris Sale on the 10-day injury list due to left-arm inflammation. Red Sox president Dave Dombrowski said Sale was feeling stiff after his departure Tuesday in Cleveland and did not tell the team before Friday before being sent for an MRI.

Rodríguez (14-5) conceded four hits, four scratches, two walks and a batter that allowed his career to win victories in a season. He is 6-0 with a 1.30 ERA in his last eight starts against Baltimore, the team that originally signed it.

Devers' two-point shot was allied to the Green Monster's seats and raised the score to 4-0 in the seventh. In his last four games, he has scored 11 to 18 with two homers and seven RBIs.

Dombrowski said that in addition to the team doctors, the results of the review would be reviewed by orthopedic Dr. James Andrews, but probably not before Monday. Dombrowski was not sure Sale would visit Andrews.

"There will be other evaluations," Dombrowski said before the match. "We are in a situation where I do not know where it will really lead us."

Asher Wojciechowski (2-6) conceded two points in 4 1/3 of the way, scoring four and three steps. In his only other career start against the Red Sox, he earned them a shot over 7 1/3 in play, including 10 on July 21 at Camden Yards.

Brock Holt hit the Boston market after the right-field player Anthony Santander's jump offer was in fifth place. Jackie Bradley Jr. followed with a Monster triple and scored on Wojciechowski's wild pitch.

Red Sox manager Alex Cora said he frequently used the dashboard to monitor Boston teams attempting to take the attack in the AL wild card race.

"Why not, it's like that," he said, "It's all about baseball, the one who says he's not looking, he's lying, you're always careful.

They remained 6 ½ behind Tampa Bay, the second team of wild-cards.

Third base umpire Joe West was injured in the right-hand leg by a Richie Martin striker from Baltimore. West had a nice hand from the fans after realizing that he was fine.

LOOK AT

Stevie Wilkerson of CF Orioles jumped into Mitch Moreland's run to end the fourth race, but he fell on the track after the grab.

Wilkerson probably knew what Moreland was feeling after his ground coach, heading for the center, caught SS Xander Bogaerts.

TRAINER ROOM

Orioles: Promoted RHP Hunter Harvey to Triple-A Norfolk before the game after sending RHP Tom Eshelman after Friday's loss. Harvey, who has battled injuries since being selected with his first pick in 2013, made his senior league debut, scoring a scoreless run with two strikeouts and one strike.

Red Sox: LHP David Price (cyst, left wrist) was to launch a pen on Saturday. The southpaw played the 10-day IL on August 8th. Cora did not hear from her before the match.

LHP Orioles Ty Blach (0-1, 13.50 ERA) is scheduled to start the series final Sunday against PRS Red Sox's Nathan Eovaldi (1-0, 5.77).
