Samsung 2019 Phones: Which Galaxy Model Should You Buy?

From Samsung Galaxy Note 10 the deployment involves not one, not two, but three new phones. After all, this spring Galaxy S10 launch saw Samsung introduce four different versions. Samsung Phones: What's New

As stated, Samsung unveiled a trio of Galaxy Note 10 models during its August 7th unpackaged event. These phones arrive in stores on August 23, although Samsung and mobile operators are taking Note 10 pre-orders now. We passed the hand with the Galaxy Note 10 and Rating 10 More, and we are testing the larger of these two models now. The best Samsung phone

The Galaxy S10 Plus sets the bar high for everyone smartphones, let the devices just from Samsung. The phone's new Infinity-O display creates an immersive experience with apps and videos filling the screen, without intrusive frames or nicks. (These two circular cutouts for the S10 Plus front cameras can be a bit of a nuisance, especially on white backgrounds.) A great little phone

With a price of $ 150 less than the Galaxy S10, the Galaxy S10e, more compact, requires some compromises, but not as much as you think. You still get the great features of Samsung's latest Galaxy S phones: a high-end Snapdragon 855 chipset, an AMOLED display, and the ability to wirelessly charge other devices via Samsung's PowerShare wireless feature. The biggest sacrifices you have to make are to choose two rear cameras instead of three and give up the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor located under the screen of the more expensive Galaxy S10 models. (On the S10e, the fingerprint reader is on the phone's power button.)

In addition to its great value, the Galaxy S10e will also appeal to people who have felt left behind when the size of the phone screens exceeds 6 inches. With a 5.8-inch screen, the Galaxy S10e fits comfortably in your hand. And thanks to the Infinity-O display, which places the front camera cutout in the display, you still get plenty of screen.

Not to neglect

The Galaxy S10 is stuck between the size, features and price of the S10 Plus and S10e. As a result, you might be tempted to ignore this 6.1-inch phone, but that would be a mistake. Most of the Galaxy S10 Plus's features are in the S10, including the powerful Snapdragon 855 processor, high-performance triple-ended rear-view cameras, and the ability to charge other wireless devices. The S10 even offers a decent battery life – 10 hours and 19 minutes of testing – despite a smaller battery than the S10 Plus.

The biggest difference between the S10 and the S10 Plus comes from the front cameras. Our tests revealed that the dual objectives of the S10 Plus were a little better than those of the S10's unique selfie cam. If you can spend an extra $ 100, the extra screen space on the Galaxy S10 Plus is worth it. But if you do not need an oversized phone and still want top-of-the-line features, the Galaxy S10 is quite appropriate.

The best Samsung purchase

After years devoted primarily to the flagship phones in the United States, Samsung is more interested in mid-range models. And if the results look like those of the $ 349 Galaxy A50, Samsung's efforts deserve praise. The 6.4-inch AMOLED display is one of the best you'll find in this price range, and the Galaxy A50's Exynos 9610 chipset keeps pace with comparable midrange phones.

The three rear cameras of the Galaxy A50 work great although you will get better photos with Google Pixel 3a, which costs about the same price as the A50. But if you prefer Samsung phones and have hesitated ahead of the rising prices of the Galaxy S and Note lines, the Galaxy A50 is the answer to your prayers.

The phone from last year for less

Samsung's older phones remain available from multiple operators and retailers, and they remain an option, even if they do not have the latest hardware from the Galaxy S10. Samsung has upgraded the phones with Android 9 with the manufacturer's own OneUI interface, so the software experience is the same as the one you would get with a newer flagship product.

You will not benefit from the Snapdragon 855 processor that powers the S10 range (including the entry-level S10e) and the Galaxy S9 Plus only has two rear cameras instead of the three from those on the S10 and S10 More. But the S9 Plus lasted nearly 11 hours on our battery test, and its cameras compared well to those of other flagship brands. More importantly, the arrival of the S10 has resulted in lower prices for the S9 Plus, which now costs less than $ 700.

Samsung's latest single-camera phone

The Galaxy S9 is even cheaper than the S9 Plus, now that the Galaxy S10 is available, at a price below $ 600. But there is a reason, this small 5.8-inch phone does not control as much as the 6.2-inch S9 Plus – the S9 only has one back-up camera. The Galaxy S9's 12 MP dual-pixel shooter is certainly capable, but even the low-priced Galaxy A50 has several lenses.

For this reason, unless you really do not like phones with a screen larger than 6 inches or try to keep costs down, we recommend the Galaxy S9 Plus at S9. The S9 Plus also comes with more RAM, which gives it a performance boost over the S9.

Wait for a price drop

Just as the Galaxy S9 has supplanted the Galaxy S10, last year's Galaxy Note 10 is giving way to the new Note 10. However, Note 9 has not seen the corresponding price drop enjoyed by the Galaxy S9 successor is widely available. This should change after the arrival of Note 10 in the stores on August 23, but for now, we suggest not to buy the 9 note until the model of the year last become a better deal.

Not yet ready for most users

It is difficult to recommend the Galaxy S10 5G at this point, although it is not the fault of the Samsung phone. How we test Samsung phones

We approach Samsung phones the same way we test other smartphones. We evaluate the phone over several days of use in the real world. We also put the phones on a battery of benchmarks to measure performance. We use a light meter to check the display-quality data, such as brightness and color accuracy, and our exclusive battery test determines the longevity of a load by continuously streaming web pages on a LTE network.

When assigning a note, we review the design and display of the phone, the output of the camera, the battery life and its charging speed, overall performance and software. We also look at how the phone compares to similarly priced handsets. Even after posting a note, we will update our assessment each time software updates offer new features.
