The Orioles and Red Sox played in the second game of their three-game series tonight and the second match was very similar to the first. By this, of course, I want to say that the Orioles have lost. Because the Orioles are the best losers I've ever seen. I hope to be as successful a day as the Orioles are losing.
In many games this year, the Orioles have lost games in which they have scored enough points for them to have had a bit of pitcher they would have won. This was not the case tonight because they were excluded for only five tubes. This is the seventh time the Orioles are excluded this season. They conceded two more home homers in the 4-0 defeat.
But hey, at least we could see the beginnings of Hunter Harvey! More on this below.
A fifth round to forget
Starting pitcher Asher Wojciechowski dominated the Red Sox in July at Camden Yards, but could not repeat his performance tonight. He managed the first four runs without allowing a race, but the first two runs were laborious.
The Orioles and Red Sox went to score at the end of the fifth inning without scoring a goal, but that's where things collapsed for Wojciechowski.
Brock Holt was the first to take part in the single home run this season. You guessed it, it was against the Orioles. Specifically, it was played by Luis Ortiz in the only game where Ortiz appeared this season, June 14.
Whatever it is, I think you know where this is going. Against Wojciechowski, Holt hit his second circuit of the season. Anthony Santander made a useless leap for the ball, but the ball landed in the Red Sox field to give the Red Sox a 1-0 lead. Immediately after, Jackie Bradley, Jr. tripled and then scored on a wild course. Things were going fast for Wojciechowski.
After Wojciechowski allowed two other base players to do nothing, Brandon Hyde (and everyone watching the game) had seen enough. Hyde called Miguel Castro to replace Wojciechowski, which I had not approved at the time since my couch,
But I was wrong! Castro got a double game ending the round to limit the damage to just two points. The last pitch line of Wojciechowski: 4.1 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 3 BB, 4 K.
Flambée against a former farmer in O
Eduardo Rodriguez, O's former hope, started the game for the Red Sox. He was traded until 2014, but that does not stop him from poking a bit when he plays well against the Orioles. Tonight was one of those moments.
The Orioles simply could not get anything against Rodriguez. Jonathan Villar scored in the second inning but was wiped out during a double play ending in Heat. Richie Martin scored in the third inning but was blocked. Rodriguez walked twice in the fourth but came out of the traffic jam.
The O's best chance was won in the sixth inning when Trey Mancini opened the scoring with a double, but he was dismissed in third place as he was trying to get back on a ground ball and on a short distance. Come on, Trey!
Rodriguez started the eighth inning and finally got out of the game after giving Hanser Alberto a simple white card. Matt Barnes replaced him and, despite a defensive mistake by Rafael Devers, went out of the inning without giving up. The last pitch line of Rodriguez was 7.1 IP, 4H, 0R, 2BB, 4K.
The Bullpen Orioles – Now Features Hunter Harvey!
After finishing the fifth inning, Castro followed with a sixth inning 1-2-3 and looked very strong. Unfortunately, his successor, Paul Fry, did not have the same success. Fry withdrew the first two batters before a double of the Mookie Betts organized a two-point run with Devers, giving the Red Sox a 4-0 lead.
The home race was the second part of the night for the Red Sox and the 253rd relay of the season abandoned by the Orioles. They now have five players to break the all-time record in terms of the number of races allowed in the season.
And then … it was the hour of Hunter Harvey! The choice of the first round of 2013 has been long and it has finally arrived. His first shot was a fast 98 mph, the highest hit in his sleeve was 100 (faint). It was not a perfect exit; Harvey beat the batter and made 21 shots, but he pulled out the last two batters he faced and injected a bit of hope into an otherwise monotonous match.
Welcome to the big leagues, Hunter Harvey! I hope you will stay long.
A better story than baseball
Finally, enough to make you feel good after another defeat of the Orioles. Henry Frasca, a young Red Sox fan who is also a very good human, wrote a letter to Chris Davis in the middle of his huge start to start the season. I began to feel emotion when Gary Thorne asked Henry why he wrote this letter and he replied, "When you have pain, I do not like it. So I decided to write the letter.
Just look. You will not regret it.
"You are amazing, do not give up, we are rooted for you!"

Tomorrow, the Orioles and Red Sox will face each other again as O tries to avoid the sweep. The game time is 13h05. See you later!
