A World of Warcraft Classic server is already "massively overcrowded" and the game is not out yet.

One of the realms of World of Warcraft Classic has already been filled with players, so Blizzard anticipates a queue of 10,000 or more players on the first day when Ur-MMO launches will take place later this month.

The Herod Realm, a PvP server based in the Eastern Time Zone of the Americas, is full of character name reservations that were opened last week. As stated by GamesRadar +, Randy "Kaivax" Jordan, head of the global community of World of Warcraft, wrote in a recent post on the forum that, though the kingdoms may contain more characters in 2019 than in the past, in 2006, Herod will always be overcrowded if all those who reserved the name of the character on the server ends up staying there.

To help solve the problem, Blizzard has opened a new time zone PvP server called Stalagg, and encourages players to switch to this domain if they are already subscribing to Herod.

Jordan says that although Blizzard has the technical capabilities to increase the population on existing servers, this will not solve the main problem and that the company wants to ensure that the other available realms fill up so that the population is evenly distributed among them.

It should also be noted that Blizzard's population estimates from the bottom up are based on current game capacity rather than conventional population levels, and Jordan says that means a lot more players: an "average" domain "In 2019 has more characters to play on than had the most congested servers during the initial launch of World of Warcraft.

Interestingly, Herod's cluttered status was not motivated by popular banners, or at least directly. According to Avoidstreamers.com, a site designed to help players avoid the big Twitch streamers and their entourage while playing WoW Classic, most of the popular streamers who said they would play WoW Classic are not registered on Herod – the big name Twitch Accounts like Shroud, Sodapoppin, Lirik and Asmon all plan to play on Faerlina.

If you're in Europe, you have less trouble, and our WoW Classic server guide can help you choose the right domain for you when the game starts on August 27th.
