Rick Ware Racing no longer Slayer on JJ Yeley's # 54 car this weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway.

As previously announced Friday, August 9, Slayer was to be part of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series team. However, on August 16, the organization ad PODS Moving and Storage would be on the car instead of the group.

According to an article on Billboard, the group issued a statement regarding the decision to remove its logo from the vehicle before the Bass Pro Shops / NRA night race.

"Today, apparently because of the reactionary reactions of other long-standing sponsors, Slayer has been chosen as the main sponsor," they wrote in a statement. "All Slayer signs were removed from the car that was to be driven by Cup veteran JJ Yeley. The must-have PODS Moving & Storage will now sponsor this car. After almost 40 years, Slayer apparently remains as terrifying to some as ever.

The brand of the group also posted on Twitter news.

In response, RWR issued a statement regarding the decision to remove the group logo from the car.

Yeley also responded to the news in a message on Twitter.

Yeley posted a Twitter poll August 12, asking fans to vote for the song they wanted to play when introducing the Bristol driver. More than 2,000 votes were cast during the vote, and Raining Blood was the winner.

There is no word indicating whether the song will always be played when the driver is introduced.
