The Apple Watch 5 should come in ceramic and titanium versions

You wait all year rumors of poor quality on the Apple Watch Series 5, then two follow one another: we have just learned that the fifth generation of wearable clothing could be launched in September and that 39 there is now news regarding the addition of different protective materials this year.

The Brazilian site iHelp BR spotted hidden graphics in the watchOS 6 beta code that designate ceramic and titanium housings – most likely for the Apple Watch 5, but perhaps as new options, alongside stainless steel, for Apple Watch 4.

Apple has been offering ceramic smart watches in the past, but the option has been removed for the Series 4. There has never been any Apple Watch in titanium, so it's completely new.

We heard rumors of a ceramic model for the Series 5 notebook in February from renowned analyst Apple Ming-Chi Kuo. It is possible that series 5 and 4 (which are likely to remain on sale) will get the new editions.

Watch and wait

Just yesterday, we announced that Ming-Chi Kuo was expecting a new Apple Watch 5 in the second half of 2019. This would fit with the launch schedule of previous models, but we have not heard much about rumors or speculation about a new edition for 2019.

It is possible that Apple will unveil the Apple Watch 5 alongside the new iPhones for 2019, at an event that is expected to take place the second week of September, although it is not yet official.

Further research by iHelp BR found references to 40mm and 44mm smartwatches. Thus, as these titanium and ceramic labels apply to Series 4 or Series 5 devices, they will have the same chassis size as existing Apple smartwatches.

If we get a new Apple Watch 5 next month, the features and improvements it will bring are not clear. Although watchOS 6 offers some clues, it gives the Apple Watch its own App Store portal, for example.
