Spotify is updating its Spotify Premium Family package with new features this week. The company introduces new features that will help users better manage their subscription and give them more control.
With the new update, parents will now be able to control what kind of content their children and other family members can listen to. There is a new explicit content filter that parents can enable on other accounts to prevent their children from listening to songs with explicit content. This new option is available through the new Family Hub, where administrators can now manage all their family settings in one place.
Spotify is also launching a new playlist for families. Dubbed Family Mix, this is a personalized playlist that is updated regularly to include songs that fit the tastes of the entire family. Spotify has tested a similar idea with its Duo Mix for couples.
Spotify does not increase the price of the Premium Family package despite the new features. The company announced that these new features would be marketed in Ireland first, then in other markets this fall.
