Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion reborn in the engine of Skyrim, the enchanting air

After seven long years of development, the extremely ambitious project Skyblivion is becoming a "real video game".

The magicians behind Skyblivion–A total conversion mod that recreates the entire Oblivion in the Skyrim engine – has made significant progress with the mod since the beginning of its development in 2012. The small team of volunteers over 50 comes to release a trailer showing these advances, revealing one of the most authentic recreations of the video game history.

For all practical purposes, the TESRenewal team remixes Oblivion with a free mod. It's actually something I would pay for Bethesda failed in front of the Creation Club store. I absolutely loved Oblivion when it came out – it was the purest example of a new generation game I've experienced to date – and I'm totally impressed by this level of talent, of competence and pure dedication.

So when will Skyblivion be released? Nobody knows, not even the developers. Much progress has been made, but much remains to be done. This is what the team said in a recent update:

"Our map of the outside world is in its final stages of development, which means that it is about to be completed." Creatures, flora, weapons, armor and 3D elements in The world is now inhabited by wild animals strolling and monsters trying to kill you at every corner.

"The quests have also made great progress, but there is still a lot of debugging to do to make everything work as well as possible."

Skyblivion will of course be exclusive to PC when it comes out, because it relies on script extensions not available on the consoles, and it will be completely free.
