After last week's trailer for The morning show this dialogue in voiceover and, finally, not much else, Apple released the first full trailer that gives us a complete overview of the drama starring Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carell.
In the new look at the series, it's pretty clear that it's about a Matt Lauer-esque imitating life while we see the character of Aniston, an animator of the Morning show, talk about the dismissal of his co-host because of what seems to be sexual. allegations of misconduct. Thus opens a box of Pandora stories that will be woven throughout the series. This includes the rise of a new co-host (Witherspoon) as Aniston begins to collapse … but at the end of the trailer, she seems to have a surge of confidence and reborn from his ashes. That said, The morning show will take us on a journey into the world of big issues of the morning news and the lives of people who help America wake up in the morning.
Throughout the new trailer – which releases series Writing Vibrations – we see some familiar faces: Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Karen Pittman, Bel Powley and Janina Gavankar. The series also includes Desean K. Terry, Jack Davenport and Nestor Carbonell.
The series is directed by Mimi Leder and written by Kerry Ehrin, who also acts as a showrunner. The morning show is produced by Aniston and Kristin Hahn by Echo Films; Witherspoon and Lauren Levy Neustadter through Hello Sunshine; Michael Ellenberg through Media Res, the studio; Leder; and Ehrin.
