Google is working on the resolution of a Gmail outage. The disturbance was first recognized at 11:53 am PDT.

Users indicated that they could not authenticate their Google credentials to access their accounts.

In an update at 12:32, the company said the following to its users:

The Gmail service has already been restored for some users and we expect a resolution for all users in the near future. Please note that this time frame is an estimate and may change. Affected users can not access Gmail.

Users may experience problems connecting to all Google services through OAuth or Chrome devices. Users already connected should not be affected.

This means that users may continue to have connection problems if they are not already connected.
