The chief meteorologist, Ross Janssen, said that heat precautions should be taken on Tuesday, as much of the state will consider dangerous temperatures. It feels like the temperatures will be back between 105-110.
The sky will usually clear until Tuesday morning. The stockings will return in the 70s with light winds from the south. The highs will reach the first 90 and 100 on Tuesday afternoon. A heat notice covers all of central and eastern Kansas.
Some storms may occur Tuesday evening in the far west of Kansas, but they should not last long. Much of the state will have an increased likelihood of storms Wednesday as a front will move into the region. Temperatures will go down in the 80s and low to 90 for the second half of the week.
