On a wish list of things that simply must Come on, I ask this: Billy Hamilton has to race the freeze.
The Braves went to pick up Hamilton on the cable waiver. For those who do not know it, the man is fast in a sense that can hardly be expressed correctly with words. His achievements are unparalleled in terms of breathtaking speed and breathtaking diamond.
At SunTrust Park in Atlanta, the Braves often meet a man known as The Freeze, who regularly leaves all their opponents in the dust during their "races" on the warning trail, usually resulting in scenes like this one:
See The Freeze crush the soul of these fans, most of whom are rather full of themselves as they quickly head for a fast forward in the race, to be only humiliated while The teal body man blurred in front of them as they collapsed to the ground. never get old
But the freeze against Billy Hamilton? One of these men must be faster than the other. Both are incredible athletes and earn the respect and shock of everyone who sees them at their best. But you have to be THE best, right? They can not be both "the fastest man alive".
I hope so that they will eventually run. Somehow. Hamilton is in Atlanta to play baseball and be a valuable asset on the bench of Braves, obviously, while the team looks at the glory of October. He probably can not do this race now.
Do not pour cold water on my own subject, but I understand that the chances of this Actually could happen to be thin to none. No one would want to see Hamilton hurt himself in this run to end all the running.
But that's why it's on my "wish list". Do you like it? May be? Just say maybe. That's all I want. This is all we need to keep hope that this epic battle will one day be realized.
And if that's the case … who would win?
Adrian Garro joined MLB.com in 2016. During his travels, Bartolo Colon and Vin Scully put their hands on his shoulders. Not at the same time, though. That would be great.
