Need fast heatThe first gameplay trailer, which kicked off Monday at Gamescom Opening Night Live, provides insight into how runners can improve their reputation on the street as they try to defend themselves from cops.
Heat, first entry in the category of long-time races since 2017 Need fast recovery, is developed by Ghost Games. Taking place in the fictional city of Palm City, which seems to be an analogue for Miami, Heat aims to give you the opportunity to drive day and night – with different racing styles available every time.
When the sun is up, the sanctioned races will take place in a competition called Speedhunters Showdown. You'll earn rewards when they run as a bank and you'll use them to tweak their cars to get ready for the night. The cops will enforce the law, but they will not be too aggressive during the day.
It looks like there is no defined day-night cycle; you can go to the night race when they are ready. At nightfall, illegal street racing will become available for you to gain reputation – but it will also increase your heat level, which will bring rogue cops who will stop at nothing to stop you.
Heat will be integrated with a mobile application, NFS Heat Studio, now available on Android and iOS. The application will allow you to collect, unlock and customize cars, then insert these designs into the full game. Need fast heat is scheduled for November 8 release on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One. EA Access and Origin Access subscribers will be able to start on November 5 in advance.
