A woman was raped at a Foo Fighters show in Scotland – and a brave dog walker eventually chased his two assailants, according to reported news.
The unidentified walker told the Daily Record how he rushed to help the woman while the woman was attacked, while the rock band played a two-and-a-half-hour set in front of 35,000 spectators in a park. Glasgow, Saturday night.
"I heard a woman scream and ran to the bushes," he told the newspaper.
"One man stood near the bushes and another inside the bushes where the woman was."
He added that the safety of the Bellahouston Park shows was nearby, but "did not seem to know" of what was going on.
"So I pursued the men. One of the men was in the bushes and the other seemed to be watching. They both fled, "he said, saying the police would later tell him that a second rape had also occurred.
A security insider called the woman's torture "harrowing" and said one staff member had called the police after finding her in distress.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland confirmed that there had been "a report that a 32-year-old woman was sexually assaulted while she was attending an event in Bellahouston Park around midnight."
The summer sessions, which staged the show, said they were also aware of the incident and would help "Scottish police in their investigations if that proved necessary".
