The game's famous director, Hideo Kojima, has appeared at gamescom this week to impress fans with not one, but three new clips for the highly anticipated game he's developing, Death Stranding. The videos highlighted familiar characters and introduced new video footage into the game, giving fans more insight into what to expect throughout Sam Bridges' journey: reconnecting broken society and save humanity.
The first clip revealed the most playful aspect of Sam's mission and included an introduction from The Games Awards creator Geoff Keighley. Check below.
The new sequence is a brief introduction to crossing, spreading and character interactions as Sam climbs a mountain to deliver supplies to an isolated prep.
The second clip has reintroduced the fans into another character integral to Sam's journey: Deadman, and provides more details on the mysterious unit of B. B. B.
As a member of BRIDGES, Deadman knows the ways of the living – and the dead. During the scene, he explains in more detail the context of B.B.s (Bridge Babies) and their role in Sam's mission.
The last clip published at Gamescom was dedicated to another BRIDGES member, Mama.
In their first face-to-face meeting, Sam discovers Mama's tragic bond with the BTs.
