Alienware has just unveiled today its new Aurora R9 workstation, featuring an extremely refined and rounded aesthetic that looks like this world. The new look is part of an extension of the "Legend" design from Alienware that debuted earlier this year with the Area-51m.
With the Aurora R9 Desktop PC, we have an awesome system that does not look too crazy, but it really stands out. The whole facade is curved and looks like a fan of Dyson without blades, except that it contains a PC game hardcore. It can be specified quite high, up to the RTX 2080 Ti and 64 GB of RAM.
Alienware said it has built the new Aurora R9 with an improved airflow in mind. The new device has therefore been built with less obstruction than the previous design, which means that the airflow increases, which leads to cooler temperatures. Alienware indicates that these changes have reduced temporary times by 8%, which is not bad at all.
This new PC would go perfectly with the Alienware 55 inch 4K 120Hz OLED Game Monitor this will go on sale September 30 for $ 4000, the aesthetics of Alienware's new products is truly impressive.
Inside, Alienware uses an Intel Core i9-9900K processor at 4.7GHz, up to 64GB of DDR4, up to 4TB of NVMe storage and up to 2TB SATA. The graphics card configurations can go up to a GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, but you can also opt for the RTX 2080 in NVLink.
I would not recommend the RTX 2080 doubles and would definitely choose the RTX 2080 Ti. I have some RTX 2080 SUPER NVLink tests here, unless you are playing with good support and good SLI adaptation, a single RTX 2080 Ti. is a much better choice. Still to see the double RTX 2080 inside a business as slippery? Impressive things, Alienware.
It comes in two colors: Lunar Light and Dark Side of the Moon (seriously, how cool these names are) and weighs a maximum of 17.8 kg (39.2 lbs).
The new Alienware Aurora R9 will start at $ 970 (and will become much more expensive from there) and will be available from August 20th.
