Neither Minkah Fitzpatrick nor his mother thought they were in a good position to play for the Dolphins in safety, so the whole clan probably welcomed the news of Reshad Jones' return to practice on Monday.

Jones was in a walking boot for most of the past two weeks while he was recovering from an injury, but he returned to do an individual job at practicing the Dolphins on Monday. Jones said he was confident he will be ready for the start of the regular season.

"It feels good," said Jones, via the Palm Beach Post. "It felt good to be back with my teammates. Run a little. I have not run for a while, but it was pretty good.

Jones' return is expected to free Fitzpatrick for more work in the slot, although the presence of Bobby McCain and T.J. McDonald in safety means that dolphins can take many directions in high school when everyone is in good health.
