Billie Eilish stops Lil Nas X in first place

After 9 weeks of being out of breath Lil Nas X and "Old Town Road" Billie Eilish officially started the record-breaking first-place success with "villain". Duh.

"Congratulations to Billie Eilish !," immediately wrote the viral sensation after the announcement of the new Monday afternoon. "You deserve this!" He followed with a Squidward meme of SpongeBob SquarePants imploring change, commenting, "me when Columbia lets me down because Billie Eilish took first place."

"Old Town Road" spent 19 weeks in first place, becoming the longest number one in history.

The strange and winding journey of "Old Town Road" will not soon be forgotten, with remixes remixes, an epic climb up and, ultimately, a record-breaking record in the first row. What was once a rejection of a country map has become a ubiquitous hymn enjoyed by people between the ages of six and sixty. Lil Nas X has harnessed the power of social media and turned this star movie of SoundCloud into a piece of history.

For Billie Eilish, dethrone the king of the charts is only the last victory of the 17-year-old singer. Earlier this year, she became the first person born in the 2000s to top the list of albums. She has released two of the best-selling vinyl records of the year and is only one of three women to climb to the top of the Alternative charts twice. The scenario was designed for the young woman to climb the ladder and, after nine weeks, she finally managed to qualify for a playoff series. The "villain" reigns as "Old Town Road" retreats to the ranch.

"It's the first week in the city for five months that the road has not been number 1," wrote Lil Nas X on Instagram. "This trip has taught me so much I can not wait to see what happens next."
