Manufacturers of destiny have a long and rich tradition of reusing the contents of the cutting room, and the next Shadow guard Expansion is no exception: fans have discovered that this week's new trailer features a film scene that had been leaked on the Internet before. Destiny 2 even came out.

Way back in February 2017, when Iron climb The Bungie developers were still planning to announce their big sequel to destiny, this trailer appeared on the internet. That was a menacing look on the Vex robot.

And here (at 2:51) the film trailer that Bungie showed yesterday at Gamescom in Germany, two and a half years later, in anticipation of the release of Shadow guard October 1st:

Looks like they've been sitting on this one for a while! Bungie developers have already done so many times before, reusing cut items of various versions and extensions. It started with Destiny 1The major story of Red Hat is restarting the year before its launch, after which Bungie transferred the Dreadnaught into the first expansion, The king caught. Major areas such as European Dead Zone and Pyramidion were being prepared for previous versions and extensions before finally being adapted. And all that Vex stuff is clearly on someone's hard drive for a long time.

A cynical expert might shout out that the developers are holding back the content for later sale, but in reality it's the inevitable consequence of slow tools and games that need to be constantly updated. It's so smart. Bungie is now independent and can no longer rely on the deep pockets of Activision, the people who destiny are probably going back into their safe and digging up any unused content they would find. It is not harmful, it is effective.
