Daniel Bryan against Buddy Murphy

SmackDown is taking place tonight at PREMIER Denny Sanford in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Daniel Bryan confronts Buddy Murphy in the series. Last week, Bryan and Rowan forced Murphy to say that he was lying about the fact that Rowan was the mysterious striker of Roman Reigns. Later, Bryan claimed that they had conducted their own investigation and knew the true identity of the abuser. Bryan said that they would unveil the attacker tonight.

The King of the Ring tournament continues with two first-round matches on the side of SmackDown. Kevin Owens faces Elias and Apollo Crews comes face to face with Andrade. Samoa Joe and Cedric Alexander qualified for the quarterfinals last night on Raw.

Randy Orton and The Revival defeated The New Day last week. After the match, Orton handed the RKO to each member of New Day. Orton and The Revival then introduced New Day to Raw last night. WWE.com teases that Kofi Kingston promises to respond to attacks.

Randy Orton went on the ring to start SmackDown. David Otunga joins the announcements team tonight while Corey Graves is still on vacation.

They recapped Orton and Revival by defeating Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods last night on Raw. Orton forced Kingston to watch Revival injured at Woods knee.

Orton called Kingston stupid on several occasions. He noted that Kingston had escaped him at SummerSlam. He said he eliminated the power of positivity with RKO.

The success of the music of New Day and Orton were waiting in the ring. Kingston attacked Orton from behind and hit Trouble in Paradise. Kingston brought a chair and wrapped it around Orton's ankle.

Kingston climbed to the top and teased while jumping on the chair, but The Revival failed. Kingston fought The Revival and beat them with the chair. Orton escaped and ran to the back.

They summed up the angle of Roman Reigns' attacker. Daniel Bryan promises to reveal the identity of the attacker later. David Otunga said that he had spoken to a lawyer friend and that he knew that Bryan was working a lot.

Tom Philips congratulated NXT on the huge announcement made earlier today that it would be presented to the USA network in September. 18

Kevin Owens entered Shane McMahon's office. Owens tries to stay calm and focus on his Ring King match later. Owens pointed out that he was thinking of a $ 100,000 fine.

Andrade (w / Zelina Vega) defeated Apollo Crews in the King of the Ring First Round match

The teams tried to slam the press, but his injured arm dropped. Andrade missed the double knees in the corner. Crews hit a standing star press for a very close fall.

The crews tried to lure Andrade into the ring, but Vega grabbed Andrade's leg. The crews tried to go after Vega. Andrade recovered and hit the DDT Hammerlock for the win and qualify for the quarterfinals on the SmackDown side.

At the back, Daniel Bryan and Rowan brought a man in a black hood into a room. Bryan said that he knows what he has done. Bryan told the hooded guy not to move from his chair, otherwise he'll be sorry.

The Champion 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, Elias was walking backstage when he noticed a disguised referee. He found Drake Maverick hiding and suffocated him. Elias had Maverick read a note from Shane McMahon. The 24/7 championship is suspended for the night to allow Elias to focus on his Ring King match.

A moment of happiness with guest Charlotte Flair

Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross, champions of the women's team team, came for a moment of happiness. Bliss introduced their guest Charlotte Flair. Bliss noted that Flair had asked this time. Flair pointed to the throne of the King of the Ring and noted the style of that chair.

Bliss noted that some people view SmackDown Bayley's wife champion as the face of SmackDown.

Behind the scenes, Roman Reigns approached Buddy Murphy. Reigns wants to know if Murphy is lying to him or if Daniel Bryan.

Murphy said he was pretty sure he saw Rowan in the hallway. Reigns said that if Murphy lied, he would come back for him.

Before the match, Bryan had called Murphy a liar and promised to reveal the real culprit later. They will also reveal that Murphy also had something to do with it.

It was another good match. Murphy shook Bryan with one knee for a fall near the bell. Bryan fought back and hit Murphy with his forearms. Bryan followed with a kick in the back.

Murphy fought back with chops and whipped Bryan in the corner.

Bryan made a backflip from the corner and landed on his feet. Murphy sent Bryan to the floor and took a dive.

Back from the break, Murphy hit the Meteora for a very tight count. Murphy favored his arm. Bryan applied the Lebell lock, but Murphy managed to make his way. Fans began shouting at a "Let's Go Buddy" song.

Bryan kicked Murphy and shouted at him to stay on the ground. Murphy kept getting up. Murphy fought back, but Bryan trapped him in the tree of misfortune and hit a dead point. Bryan chained with a suplex back-to-back for a very close fall.

Murphy hit a superkick in the corner and threw two very tight shots. Bryan and Murphy traded hard shots in the middle of the ring.

Bryan swayed Murphy with uppercuts. Murphy countered the knee in a recoil for a two – count charge.

Murphy knocks one knee and kamigoye for another near the fall. Rowan jumped on the apron and distracted Murphy. Bryan rolled Murphy for a near fall.

Murphy shook Rowan with a superkick and knocked him off the apron. Murphy grabbed Bryan with one knee and hit Murphy's Law for the win.

Kayla Braxton attempted to interview Buddy Murphy at the back, but Daniel Bryan and Rowan attacked him. Rowan gave Murphy's iron claw on a box.

Renewal defeated Heavy Machinery

Before the match, The Revival challenged SmackDown New Day's team champions for Clash of Champions. The Revival sold the wounds of the Kofi Kingston attack earlier.

Tucker grabbed Wilder in a hug and worked on the injured ribs. Tucker labeled Otis and threw Wilder into his arms. Otis and Tucker gave Dash and Dawson delayed their standing.

Back from the break, Wilder hit a bulldog on Tucker for a charge. Dawson missed a nudge. Otis received the hot tag and was saved. He hit the caterpillar on Wilder and prepared for the compactor. Dawson made the save and Wilder rolled Tucker for the win.

Kayla Braxton spoke to Chad Gable to ask him if he was the underdog of the King of the Ring tournament. Gable talked about overcoming obstacles in the past. In the background, Shelton Benjamin placed a sign on Gable's door.

Gable turned around and saw the panel placed high on the door. It read, "You must be as tall as you to enter the King of the Rings." That made the fans laugh.

Miz TV with guest Sami Zayn

Miz introduced his guest Sami Zayn and said that he had asked for this interview. Zayn remarked that he did not care about Miz or the series but needed the interview time. Miz noted that Zayn was on a losing streak.

Zayn was trapped in the greed of the WWE. Zayn has always fought for causes and what is right. He realized that there are people at SmackDown who need his help.

Intercontinental champion Shinsuke Nakamura headed to the ring. Miz asked Nakamura why he was associating with Zayn. Zayn pointed out that Japanese Nakamura and Miz had asked the question in English.

Zayn called Nakamura an artist and a poet. Zayn said that they understood each other. Zayn will now speak for Nakamura. Miz tried to ask Nakamura a question, but he pointed to Zayn. Nakamura jumped Miz from behind and shot him down. Zayn withdrew Nakamura and pulled him back into a corner. Zayn pretended to check Miz but held him back so that Nakamura could hit Kinshasa.

At the back, Daniel Bryan and Rowan entered the locker room. They approached the guy in the hood. Bryan was furious and noticed that he was calling Roman Reigns.

Kevin Owens entered Shane McMahon's office. McMahon asked Owens to apologize for attacking an umpire. McMahon is considering lifting the fine, but if Owens touches another manager, he is fired. Owens reached out for a handshake, but McMahon is not quite there yet.

Owens had the advantage early and sent Elias to the ground. Owens tried a dive, but Elias moved away. Owens and Elias fought on the floor. Elias sent Owens to the steps to briefly take over. Owens fought back and hit a cannonball in the corner.

Suddenly, Shane McMahon's music hit and he went down to the ring. Back from the break, Elias was firmly in control with a latch on his chin. McMahon watched the game from the ring. During the break, Owens hit the ground with a frog splash.

Elias tipped Owens with one knee for two counts. He slowed the pace with a chin lock on Owens. Owens retaliated and tried a powerbomb, but Elias avoided.

Elias hit a powerbomb in sit-out for a near fall. Owens and Elias fought on the upper tensioner. Owens pushed him away and tried a Swanton bomb, but Elias knelt down.

Owens sent Elias to the ground and knocked a cannonball off the apron. Suddenly, McMahon jumped up and took off his shirt, revealing the one from the referee.

McMahon entered the ring and the original referee went out. Owens went to get the stunner, but Elias pushed. Owens almost met McMahon but stopped. Elias rolled Owens and McMahon quickly counted for the win.

In the back, Roman Reigns entered Daniel Bryan's locker room. Bryan said he said Rowan did not do it and no one believed it. He then revealed the real culprit and removed the hood, revealing a guy who looked like Rowan. Reigns looked at Rowan and the "real culprit".
