The Jets signed linebacker Stephone Anthony and waived security Santos Ramirez.
An initial choice for the first round of the 2015 Saints (# 31 in total), Anthony has played for the Dolphins for the past two seasons with Adam Gase and has played in 24 games. The 6'3 ", 245-pounder signed with the Falcons during the off season and was released on August 18. For his career, the 28-year-old has totaled 150 tackles, one sack, two forced fumbles and an interception.
Ramirez, who had signed with the Jets in May as a non-traded free agent, played 45 games in four seasons for Arkansas. In two preseason games, the 6 "2", 204 pounds totaled six tackles.
