The 2019 NFL preseason schedule will continue Thursday night with the Philadelphia Eagles ready to face the Baltimore Ravens. To find meaning in a meaningless game, here are the most important players to watch, as there are still a few places in the lineup and / or battles of positions to win this summer.
Do not forget that Eagles starters will not play much, if at all. The first team units have already done a lot of work in this week's common practices.

And if he can, does it convince the Eagles to keep four quarterbacks (Carson Wentz, Nate Sudfeld, McCown, Thorson) in their roster of 53 players? Hollins looked good on special teams last week, but he did not do much in attack. Hollins then proceeded to the fall of two deep receptions in practice this week. You can also group the other tight ends (Alex Ellis – # 48 and Will Tye – # 85) in this section. There should be a lot of reps with Zach Ertz probably not playing, Dallas Goedert missing for pre-season and Richard Rodgers getting fired on Monday. Rodgers' injury potentially opens the door for Perkins, Ellis or Tye to make the 53-man line-up a tight third. The Eagles could still seek to add a narrow limit through waivers or a low-cost exchange, but for the moment, internal employees have the opportunity to show their membership.
Ridgeway showed good signs playing in a limited time against the Titans before suffering a concussion and being absent from last week's game. Now that he's back in good health, we'll see if Ridgeway can get back to work he left. He is currently the favorite to be the Eagles' fourth defensive tackle behind Fletcher Cox, Malik Jackson and Timmy Jernigan. Ridgeway could knock Treyvon Hester off the list, but the Eagles could keep five in that position.
Hall's dominates the pre-season with eight tackles in total, five hits for the quarter, four tackles for defeat, three sacks and two forced fumbles. It was very fun to watch. Eagles rookie picks are always obvious inclusions on this list. André Dillard looks great in the pre-season; can he continue? Will Miles Sanders continue to flash (and how much will he play)? Will JJ Arcega-Whiteside make one of his signatures? Can Shareef Miller show a little more promise after blowing a bit last week?
Greg Ward and Marken Michel defeated Mack Hollins from an offensive point of view. Will this continue? And even if it does, will it really matter? (I do not think that will be the case, I think Ward and Michel can both stay in the training team, or at least one of them.)
Johnathan Cyprien feels a little like the fourth default security, but it's not as if he (or anyone else) has grasped this job. He could use a good game. Trae Elston, who did a few pieces, can he come out of nowhere to beat Cyppy Cuy?
T.J. Edwards and Alex Singleton had a good time. Do they really push for a place in the linebacker? The Eagles might need to keep six at this location with Nigel Bradham and Kamu Grugier-Hill at less than 100%?
Jordan Mailata and Matt Pryor are always worth seeing. The latter has been reported four times in two pre-season games. Pryor really needs to step up.
I think Jesh Sweat already has to fight for fourth place in defense at Daeshon Hall, but the sophomore will try to reduce the gap on Thursday night.
