The elastic rope of a carousel in Florida was broken a few seconds before taking off on Saturday, which caused a scary moment filmed by the camera.

The video, shared on Facebook by Krissy Hurst, shows two men attending the vertical throttle ride at Cobra Adventure Park in Panama City, Florida.

Then, just as an operator pulls a lever to start the hike, one of the cables rolls up, causing yells from onlookers.

"Holy shit," a woman says behind the camera. "We just avoided death."

WARNING: The video below contains an explicit language:

"Have you all seen this?" the same woman says. "******'s rope shredded just before leaving."

The trip was stopped and the passengers were abducted without anyone being injured. Nevertheless, the runners and their friends seemed frightened by the experience. Cobra Adventure Park stated that the ride was operational again.

Inverted rides, also known as fronds or ejection seats, are common at fairs and amusement parks. However, they are known to malfunction.

In 2017, a bungee ride stopped working at a California county fair, leaving runners hanging in the air for nearly half an hour. One of the passengers, Roger Rodriguez, aged 19, was left hanging from his ankles.

"I was about to lose consciousness," he told the Ventura County star at the time.

Earlier this year, a man sued the Royal Caribbean cruise line for $ 75,000 after being injured on a bungee trampoline. The man claimed to have fractured the pelvis after falling 20 feet on one of the attractions of the ship called "Sky Pad".
