The trio indisputably resembles their counterparts in real life in this drama of denunciation about the women who shot Roger Ailes.

The trio of dreams made its first appearance in the first trailer of "Bombshell", a drama about Fox News's huge sexual harassment scandal, caused by the late leader of the network and buddy Donald Trump, Roger Ailes. The three A-listers will play Megyn Kelly (Theron), Gretchen Carlson (Kidman) and the lesser known Kayla Pospisil (Robbie), all women who have accused Wings of Sexual Harassment and who have received multi-million dollar buybacks for their silence.

John Lithgow plays the role of Ailes i in that he is certain to be a very different character than Russell Crowe in "The Loudest Voice", a limited series of Showtime on the emergence of Fox News. In addition to the three headliners, "Bombshell" features a stacked cast including Allison Janney, Kate McKinnon, Malcolm McDowell, Mark Duplass, Eve Alice, Brigette Lundy-Paine, Liv Hewson and Alanna Ubach.

Former President and CEO of Fox News, besieged for almost 20 years, Ailes died of unknown causes in May 2017. He resigned from office in July 2016, after being accused of sexual harassment of female colleagues, including presenter Gretchen Carlson. He has also been a media consultant for several Republican presidents, including Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan and George H. W. Bush. In 2016, he was advisor to the Trump campaign, where he helped prepare the debate.

Directed by Jay Roach ("Trumbo", "Meet the Parents"), "Bombshell" focuses on women and this first trailer plays more like a whistle drama than a biopic.

In this first look, the music is tense but alive as the three women ride together in an elevator and slowly realize that they are all heading to the same floor. The tension is ripe when they mutually appreciate each other, their makeup and impeccable hair make each star a unique character. With these three at the helm, "Bombshell" is about to explode.
