Browns linebacker Mack Wilson was elected winner of the Maurice Bassett 2019 prize by the Browns. The award was named in 1985 in honor of the half-offensive Maurice Bassett, who played for the Browns from 1954 to 1956. He is awarded to the Browns' best rookie at the training camp, voted by local media.

Wilson was a fifth-round pick (155th overall) from Alabama in 2019. He defeated three committed players in front of him in the cornerback.
