Police arrested the 26-year-old under the influence of drugs.
Police in Orange County, California, made a single arrest yesterday after a man attempted to use a first aid kit to repair flat tires.
A citizen called the police around 6 am to report a suspicious man next to a broken down vehicle. MPs have arrived looking for a Mercedes-Benz SUV disabled with flat-side driver tires and a 26-year-old man trying to use "gauze and bandages" to repair the tires.
The photos posted on Facebook by Mission Viejo Police Services show gauze placed in a gaping hole in one of the tires, with a pile of bandage wraps scattered on the sidewalk next to the vehicle.
"He was arrested for using drugs and taken to prison," said the post.
The Facebook thread includes a comment from someone who claims to have called the police after meeting the man sitting on the ground, without shoes, while he was trying to repair the tires.
"He had leaves and branches in his front bumper and the two tires on the driver's side seemed to have hit the sidewalk and must have jumped into the landscaped area," said the witness.
