Do not let your valuable Apple Card touch less important credit cards, warns Apple

The Platonic ideal of conspicuous consumption has never been so brilliant – and Apple really wants you to keep it that way.

The highly anticipated Apple Card had its official launch in the United States yesterday, as the first rushed users hastened to congratulate the card's titanium body and laser engraved logo. And, as this is an Apple product, the Cupertino geniuses have released a detailed set of cleaning and maintenance instructions for the newest member of their product family.

Yes, you read correctly. Cleaning instructions and maintenance for a credit card.

"Put your card in a location in your wallet or wallet without touching another credit card," reads the card possession guide. "If two credit cards are placed in the same location, they may be scratched."

That's right, do not even thought to leave your precious Apple card nearby trash can throw away the rest of your wallet.

But maybe that does not worry you. As a real Apple, you've put aside a pocket in your leather wallet so your Apple Card can easily rest on its own lambskin bed.

"Some fabrics," warns Apple, "like leather and denim, could cause permanent discoloration that will not go away."

However, not everything is lost. You can "moisten a soft microfiber cloth with isopropyl alcohol and gently wipe the card," says Apple.

But whatever you do, do not even think about using 'glass or household cleaners, compressed air, aerosols, solvents, ammonia or abrasives to clean your titanium Apple card ".
