Microsoft opened its first Minecraft Land beta version to compatible iOS devices last month, and now it's heading to Android. The software manufacturer accepts registration for the Android version and you will need an augmented reality handset (AR compatible) running Android 7 or later. Naturally, the more modern and powerful your phone is, the better this AR game will work.

Minecraft Land is a new AR game that is similar to Pokemon Go. Microsoft spent months building the new game with its Mojang development studio. Players will be able to collect materials and build giants Minecraft structures with friends. Microsoft's goal is to cover the world of Minecraft blocks.

For now, the beta game is rather limited to collecting resources and crafts, but Microsoft plans to add adventure modes where you can interact with other players to Minecraft areas. You can use building plates to sit a Minecraft build on a table and build something with friends or family. Each piece of material used by someone else on your own plate will then be part of your construction. It is therefore a collaborative effort to create giant structures that can then be displayed using the camera of a phone.

Microsoft is currently testing the basics before the game grows. If you want to play on Android, you can register on the site Minecraft Land beta site. It should be available on devices next week.
