Are you still shopping for a laptop at school? Lenovo has about the best offer I've ever seen, thanks not only to a reduced price, but also some bundled extras and unexpected extra savings.
Here it is: for a limited time and until stocks are exhausted, the Lenovo Yoga C630 two-in-one notebook is $ 660 (plus taxes if applicable) with promo code YOGAC630, which should be automatically applied to the checkout. That's $ 280 on the regular price. But wait, there is more: the notebook comes with Lenovo's active digital pen (unlike some laptops, cough, Area) and one Lenovo Smart Clock, the last one worth $ 80. (OK, technically, it costs a penny, but that's bringing your cost to $ 660.) Note that CNET can get a share of the revenue from the sale of the products shown on this page.
Now, to make this transaction even more appealing: the Rakuten Cashback service (formerly Ebates) is currently offering a significant 10% discount on all Lenovo purchases, which would reduce your net cost to $ 594.
Now, to complicate this matter a bit: Best Buy has the Lenovo Yoga C630 on sale for $ 599.99 – but you do not get the smart clock and the description does not specify whether the pen is included. My hypothesis: it is not. (And it's a $ 25 item if purchased separately.)
Oh, make decisions. As you think about this, here are some important things to know about the C630. First of all, this is a 2 in 1, which means that the screen rests on a 360 degree hinge that allows four different modes of use.
Second, it supports 4G LTE, which means you can buy a SIM card for use and use it in places where Wi-Fi is not available. I doubt that this is very important for students, but it is a good option.
Finally, it runs Windows 10 Home in S mode, which means that, for security reasons, the only applications that can be installed are those available from the Windows Store. Fortunately, it is now quite easy to disable this mode. This is not the annoying limitation that it once was.
Other notable features include 8GB of RAM, a 128GB SSD (which should be enough for most students) and a 2.65lb chassis – a beautifully lightweight machine to carry on campus. There is even a fingerprint reader for fast security without password.
CNET did not examine this model of Yoga C630 in particular, only the Chromebook version 4K. But most of the critics I've spied on elsewhere are mostly positive. Assuming you're ready to wait for the discount, I recommend using the Lenovo Road and enjoy the great extras.

Bonus offer: get a set of 15 piece kitchen knives for $ 56
Knives? Hey, it's not just the wireless headphones in life (which you probably use in the kitchen when you cut things for dinner). So, if you need a new set of cutlery, take a look at this: For a limited time and until stocks run out, the 15-Piece Homever Kitchen Knife Set at $ 55.99 with coupon code FHH2NV2J. Regular price: $ 80.
The set includes all important kitchen knives, as well as six serrated steak knives, kitchen shears (a must), a sharpening steel and a block of wood to hold everything together.
This block tips the knives a bit more than I prefer; if you place it under low cabinets, it may be difficult to pull out a piece. Despite everything, the knives seem strong and sharp, and they are guaranteed for life. I'm happy with my set.
I mention this because Fakespot assigns the "F" rating to the handful of user ratings (though ReviewMeta indicates that they are all valid, so please understand). I think for the price you will be satisfied with these.
