Sanders, who left the White House in June, will debut an episode of "Fox & Friends" on September 6, in the studio. She will comment on the political events of Fox News.
In a statement, Sanders congratulated Fox News and said that she was "more than proud" to join the network.
As a White House press attaché, Sanders had a tenuous relationship with the press. Under his mandate, the White House has effectively eliminated the daily briefing with the press.
Sanders also stood alongside President Trump who viciously attacked the media, often launching his own insults against reporters. In an interview with former Special Advisor investigator Robert Mueller, Sanders even admitted to providing journalists with unfounded information about the dismissal of former FBI director James Comey.
Sanders is now the third former senior communications officer at the White House to join Fox after leaving the Trump administration.
Hope Hicks, the former director of communications at the White House, joined Fox Corporation in 2018 as executive vice president and director of communications. And in July, Raj Shah, a former White House deputy press secretary, joined Fox Corporation as senior vice president.
The revolving door has also worked in the opposite direction.
Bill Shine, the former co-chair of Fox News, joined the White House in 2018 in a leading role in communication. Shine left the White House earlier this year. Other members of the network also left their jobs at Fox to serve in the Trump administration.
The news of Sanders' arrival at Fox News comes a day after ABC's announcement of the appointment of Sean Spicer, his predecessor as press secretary at the White House, in "Dancing With the Stars" ". Spicer's selection provoked outrage and even anger from some ABC News staff.
This begs the question: How should former White House officials who misled the public be treated when they seek positions of celebrity and privilege?
Sanders' father, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, is also a Fox News personality.
