Climate activists who want the Democratic National Committee to focus on climate change put an end to the party's summer meeting in San Francisco after missing references for their guests.
In videos posted on Twitter, activists were still trying to get into the meeting by pushing back the security. Songs could be heard to "let them in".

Activists lobbied the DNC to hold a debate among the presidential candidates of 2020 that focuses solely on the issue of climate change.

Tensions in the meeting continued after people were allowed to enter.
DNC Councilor Christine Pelosi, daughter of Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi, suggested there will be other primary debates that will address an issue, such as firearms, the economy or national security.
CNN is organizing a climate change event with some of the Democratic candidates. Jay Inslee, governor of Washington, whose campaign was mainly focused on the fight against climate change and lobbied for such an event, will no longer participate in the event since he left the race on Wednesday. .
