Family drama. It's no secret to anyone Brad Pitt and his son Maddox Jolie-Pitt have tense relationships since the 55-year-old actor reportedly had an altercation with the 18-year-old plane on a private plane in 2016.
We weekly broke the story of the notorious incident, which would have prompted Angelina Jolie ask for a divorce after two years of marriage and eleven years together as a couple. The stubborn teenager "is very close to Angie," reveals a friend of the family in the current issue of We weekly. According to a second source, although Pitt had legally adopted the boy in 2006 after he fell in love with Jolie on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith in 2004, "Maddox does not really see himself as Brad's son."
Their relationship has continued to be tense since the incident. A Jolie source has already described the Once upon a time in Hollywood star as a "big yellier" when it was children.

Pitt was reported to have been intoxicated during the 2016 robbery, which opened the door for investigations by the FBI and the Los Angeles Department of Child and Family Services. Although the Fury The actor was rid of any wrongdoing, he had to take steps – including attending therapy sessions, attending Alcoholics Anonymous and going through tests of drug and alcohol use – to prove her father's form while Jolie had physical custody of the children.
But for Maddox, it was too little, too late. Even the holidays did not lessen his determination. Last Christmas, Maddox and her brother Pax decided not to open gifts at their father's house with their four younger brothers and sisters. "Maddox refused to go, and Pax did not go either," said a source We at the time. And while Maddox's anger rests in part on his resentment against his adoptive father, another insider notes that he is also a typically independent teenager. "[Maddox and Pax] spend more time with their friends and are busy doing their own work, "says the insider. "They spend less time than before with the younger ones and the family."
