INDEPENDENCE, Iowa (AP) – A judge has approved a plea agreement that imposes a two-year probation period and a suspended prison sentence on a farmer from Iowa who participated in the "The Bachelor" show.
The Buchanan County District Court Records indicate that the judge agreed to the plea agreement reached Monday between Chris Soules and the prosecutors "because this is consistent with the recommendations of the preliminary investigation report."
Soules pleaded guilty in November to a reduced charge of leaving the scene of a serious road accident following the plane crash that occurred in April 2017, which had cost the lives of to Kenny Mosher, 66 years old. Soules was arrested after backing off Mosher's tractor. Soules called 911, performed a CPR on Mosher and waited for the first responders, but he left the scene before the agents arrived.
Soules appeared in "The Bachelor" and "Dancing With The Stars" in 2015.
