Steber would have watched videos of other massacres to understand how to do it himself, and was inspired by the filming of the Charleston, South Carolina church. According to court documents, Steber had a "schedule" for his murderous plans and wanted to shoot before Christmas.
After appearing in court on Wednesday, Steber was charged with two counts of holding a firearm on campus and one additional charge for the communication of A threat of mass violence. Steber is currently held without a commitment in a county jail where he will undergo an assessment of his mental health.
