COOS BAY, Oregon (AP) – An undersea earthquake with an initial magnitude of 6.3 struck the Oregon coast on Thursday morning.
The US Geological Survey announced Thursday that no tsunami was expected from the temblor, which occurred shortly after about 8 am to about 183 miles west of the bay of Coos.
It was at a depth of about 5.7 miles (8.7 kilometers) under water.
No damage or injury has been reported.
