HoloLens 2 Development Edition will cost $ 3,500 (about £ 2,600, AU $ 4,900) for immediate purchase. Developers can choose to pay $ 99 per month with Microsoft's installment plan.

The development edition does not include special hardware or features different from the consumer version of HoloLens 2, but includes 500 Azure credits, as well as a three-month Unity plug-in test. Pro and the Unity PiXYZ plug-in to help integrate technical rendering into Unity.

Like its predecessor, HoloLens 2 will address targeted businesses and client companies. It will offer lighter construction and improved equipment.
