Listen to a teaser of Lindsay Lohan's new song, "Xanax"

The teaser of the song "Xanax" was created on Kris Fade's show on Virgin Radio Dubai, and as Fade explains, the song speaks "of anxiety and pressure and taking care of oneself".

The melody itself, which "should be released very soon," is a highly produced mid-tempo club beat with a catchy hook. Although, according to the short excerpt, the fans have heard – what the host says was pulled from the middle of the song – it's hard to say exactly what story the lyrics will tell when the song disappears completely.

The new song comes just two months after celebrating her 33rd birthday with a snapshot of herself naked and a few weeks after she posted the first teasers for her role on The masked singer in Australia.

Lohan had already explained in June that she had taken some time out of her busy schedule to record new music with a snapshot of herself in a photo booth. Lohan enigmatically subtitled the photo with a simple emoji on the headphones.

Shortly after, she finally confirmed the speculation on Twitter, responding to a report that she was recording new songs. "Hard at work," Lohan wrote, sharing the report.

Although Lohan is best known for her acting performance, she has also had a fairly successful foray into music with her first album, Speak, released in 2004 and certified platinum by the RIAA.

His follow-up album A little more personal (gross), was released in 2005 and was his last album to date. The project she is currently working on is Lohan's first new music since the single "Bossy" in 2008.
