The Flash Movie: Director Ity Andy Muschetti confirms that it's his next film

It seems The flash The film has found his new director. Again. As reports swirled in July, he and He: Chapter Two director Andy Muschietti was in talks with Warner Bros. to take the helm of the troubled superhero project, Muschietti himself played timidly when he was questioned on the prospect. Now, however, it seems that all the issues relating to the contracts to be resolved are resolved, as confirmed the filmmaker at Fandango: The flash will be his next project.

Those who expect to see Muschietti will bring their sensitivity to horror to The flash may be disappointed:

"An element of horror? I do not think so. What has captivated me The flash is the human drama in it. The human feelings and emotions that play in the drama [of it]. It's going to be fun too. I can not promise there will be a horror [elements in it]really, but it's a beautiful human story.

It's a long time, but excuse me if I do not automatically assume that Muschietti's version of The flash will definitely see the light of day. The adaptation of DC Comics began its current phase of development in October 2015, when Warner Bros. hired Dark shadows writer and he executive producer Seth Grahame-Smith make his directorial debut with the film. In April 2016, however, a month later Batman v Superman hit the theaters and sparked scathing criticism and divergent responses from the public – Warner Bros. decided to take The flash in a different direction and Grahame-Smith left the project.

By this point Ezra Miller had already been cast as Flash and was turning his role into Justice Leagueand Warner Bros. then signed Rick Famuyiwa (Dope) at the helm in June 2016. It lasted until November, when he left the director's chair for creative reasons, although he Kiersey Clemons like Iris West.

The flash then went into a little stasis while Warner Bros. was trying to figure out what to do about Justice League and his other upcoming projects, and Miller has found himself busy with the Fantastic beasts franchise. But the film came back to life in March 2018 when Night of game filmmakers John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein signed to rewrite and direct the film. Everything seemed fine, and we had the impression The flash could finally go past the cameras after wrapped Miller Fantastic Beasts 2but the trouble has resumed once again in the summer of 2019.

The reports suggest that Daley and Goldstein wanted to give the film a lighter, more comical tone, while Miller wanted a little darker. To present his vision of the film, Miller was allowed to co-write a new screenplay himself with the help of a comic book author. Grant Morrisonand even though, at the time, it was felt that Miller was about to leave his role, in July 2019, Daley and Goldstein had left the project and Miller was still on board.

Which brings us to Muschietti, the fourth director signed to do The flash, a film that does not exist yet. One can imagine that his darkest sensibilities adapt more to the vision of Miller's film, assuming that the previous report is true, and he certainly proved his ability to make compelling and compelling films. Production will not start until the end of 2020 at the earliest, because Miller has to turn Fantastic Beasts 3 spring 2020, so there is still plenty of time for Muschietti to break through and nail The flash once for all. Or, conversely, he still has plenty of time to become the last director to give up his duties.

As a fan of Muschietti's work and eager to see Miller's version of this character getting his independent film, I hope this one will work.
