Two of Disney's most popular retro games are being remastered with the 16-bit game. Aladdin and The Lion King reissue as a two-for-one contract in October. Officially titled Disney classic games: Aladdin and the lion king, the product is expected to be released on the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC platforms on October 29 (pre-orders are live on Amazon now). Players will be able to return Aladdin and The Lion King in many different forms reflecting their multiple versions and will also be able to use more modern features such as a 1080p resolution and a "rewind" feature among other modifications.
The publisher Nighthawk Interactive and developer Digital Eclipse announced the announcement Wednesday and shared the trailer above to show what these two games would look like on modern systems. Those who played the original games when they were released on platforms such as Sega Genesis and SNES will recognize scenes such as those where Aladdin dodges huge rocks and lava pits while Timon and Pumbaa make their best to catch the good insects.
You will be able to play these games with their remastered resolutions, but if you want to fully satisfy your nostalgia case, you can play them in their more granular formats, just as they would have been played in the beginning. A museum of elements such as works of art and a music player is another feature of remastered games that allows players to better understand the process of creating the game. A "final cut" of Aladdin will also be playable, which includes a lounge show previously inaccessible since 1993.
Those who have played the originals will also remember that games can sometimes be quite difficult – remember the level of giraffe in The Lion King? If the games always prove difficult, players can use the rewind feature to return 15 seconds back in the allotted time to restore everything you could have lost. There is also another feature called "Interactive Game Viewer" that automatically plays the game to show players what to do. These features, combined with available cheat codes, mean that returning players have many different ways to play and that young players who could experience games for the first time will always be able to see their favorite characters in action if they are confused.
Disney classic games: Aladdin and the lion king is currently in pre-order before its release on October 29th. A physical and digital version are planned.
