100 Thieves issued a video statement on Aug. 29 announcing their departure from CoD at the end of the 2019 season, claiming that membership in the new franchise league was "too much" for the organization.

100 thieves, who won two tournaments in the CWL's 2019 season, will not appear on the CoD's sports list in 2020.
The owner of the Dallas franchise has highlighted the financial risks of a team entering the global Call of Duty League, which will move to a franchise model in 2020. The $ 25 million purchase requires a large upfront investment as some organizations chose not to take.

Envy is confirmed for CDL 2020 as a Dallas franchise.
On a personal level, he was moved to see one of Call of Duty's most iconic figures move away from the stage.

However, the CEO is excited about the future of Call of Duty esports and the Dallas franchise.
