Chiefs exchange their marks with the Vikings

The Kansas City Chiefs did not trade for a corner, but instead traded against a cornerback.

According to NFL Network reporter Tom Pelissero, the leaders sent unmarked free agent CB Mark Fields to the Minnesota Vikings. We do not know yet what the leaders will receive in return, but it will probably not be more than a last minute choice or an exchange of players.

Following the NFL draft in 2019, Fields joined the Chiefs as an uneducated free agent. Many were shocked when the former Clemson Tiger was not drafted. He showed off his skills in last year's college football title game with two defensive passes against the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Fields had a steady regular season until Week 4, when it completely collapsed against the Green Bay Packers. He was able to do a lot of games during the match, but instead drew tons of penalty flags.

Todd McShay had an open mic when the game was broadcast by the Chiefs and had been heard describing Andy Reid's dissatisfaction with Fields. McShay was heard saying, "Let's just say number 26 has no place on the list." He's clever enough for chefs to turn around and swap Fields for being cunning.
