Some Spider-Man fans do not take the division between Sony and Marvel. An upset fan was spotted from the crowd on ESPN Gameday College holding a protest sign that reads, "SPIDER-MAN WANTS BETTER." The ESPN broadcast was probably chosen because ESPN has the same owner as Marvel Studios, Disney. Disney reportedly sought to gain increased participation in the Spider-Man movie franchise, which led to the loss of the character-sharing agreement signed since 2016.
The latest Spider-Man movie, Spider-Man: far from home, has become the most profitable film of Sony. The protest takes place on the same weekend as Sony rebroadcasts the movie in cinemas with four extra minutes.
Tom Holland spoke to fans about the Spider-Man situation at a panel on Sunday at Keystone Comic Con in Philadelphia. Holland expressed a mixture of gratitude and optimism about his current role in Spider-Man after the split between Marvel and Sony. But things will be different in the future.

"It's not the end of me playing Spider-Man," said Holland. "There is definitely more to come. We sat down with some of our creatives. We launched Spider-Man 3, which is going to be something very special, it will be something very different. I am so grateful that Marvel has changed my life and made my dreams come true and that Sony allows me to continue to live my dream. It's a crazy week and it's never been done, so we'll see how it goes and it'll be amazing and fun too. "

These comments echo those he had put to press at the D23 exhibition this weekend. "Basically, we made five great movies," Holland said. "It's five extraordinary years. I have had the time of my life. Who knows what the future holds for us? But all I know is that I will continue to play Spider-Man and live the best of my life. It will be so much fun that we choose to do it. The future of Spider-Man will be different, but it will be equally impressive and amazing. We will find new ways to make it even cooler. "

Holland also touched on the Spider-Man situation while he was on stage at the Disney Pictures panel to promote his new Pixar film, Forward. "Listen, it's been a crazy week, but I want you to know, I'm grateful to you from the bottom of my heart and I love you 3000," Holland told a crowd of participants.
