Kevin Hart suffers serious injury in car accident, broken roof

One of Kevin HartAfter leaving the road, the classic muscle cars found themselves in a ditch in the Malibu Hills – and looking at the damage, it's a miracle that he and 2 other people in the vehicle survived.

The accident occurred shortly before 1 am Sunday on the winding and treacherous Mulholland Highway. The video of the accident scene, obtained by TMZ, shows Kevin's Plymouth Barracuda at the bottom of a ravine about 10 feet from the road.

The car crashed through a wooden fence along the roadside and you can see that the roof was completely crushed by the impact.

The police confirmed that the vehicle belonged to Kevin, but they told us that he was not driving at the time of the accident. There were 2 other people in the car, including the driver – and the cops say Kevin and the driver both had "serious back injuries".

The third person is a woman who does not need hospital treatment. Police said the driver had not drunk.

Kevin was the first to get out of the vehicle and, according to a witness, a member of his security team showed up on board a sport utility vehicle and took charge of it. Kevin lives nearby and the police say he's gone home to "get medical attention." He was finally treated in a hospital.

A little earlier on Saturday, Kevin posted a video of himself during his vintage ride, while someone shouted at him for getting too much gum on the street while he was spinning his tires.

Kevin bought the car in July as a Birthday gift 40 to himself.
