The Indianapolis Colts completed their meager quarterbacks by hiring former Patriot Brian Hoyer on Monday.
The conditions were not disclosed, but one source told ESPN's Adam Schefter it was a $ 12 million, three-year contract with a $ 9 million guarantee.
Andrew Luck retired abruptly from the NFL this preseason, leaving Jacoby Brissett as a starter. Brissett was also a replacement for the Patriots to start his career.

The Patriots accompanied rookie Jarrett Stidham as a replacement for Tom Brady, releasing Hoyer.
Hoyer, 33, began his career with the Patriots and also worked with the Cardinals, Browns, Texans, Bears and 49ers before returning to New England last season. He has 37 starts in 65 NFL games. He started 13 games for the Browns in 2014.
The Colts had veteran Brock Osweiler come for a visit last week. The only other quarters on the Colts list at that time were Phillip Walker and Chad Kelly.
Walker had never played a game in the regular season and was subsequently suspended before joining the Colts' training team on Sunday. Kelly was placed on the suspension list for the first two games of the season for violating the league's personal conduct policy.
