As the WWE Clash of Champions is fast approaching, the September 2 edition of Monday Night Raw promises important games and important moments on the way to the next big event.
King of the Ring has qualified for the quarter-finals with two fascinating matches. In a sequel to his show stealer at Stomping Grounds, Ricochet faced Samoa Joe. Meanwhile, injured Cedric Alexander got into a fight with a motivated baron.
All current champions in the women's division had to participate in a very first Showcase match of the Women's Championship. Becky Lynch and Bayley teamed up against the seemingly incomprehensible duo Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross.
Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman would have the opportunity to express their opinion when signing a contract with the WWE Universal Championship.
Bray Wyatt would not be the type to make announcements lightly, but would also reveal a major challenge in the latest edition of "Firefly Fun House".
This week's Raw needed to stay focused on the Clash of Champions and add more heat to the established title matches, which was easy to accomplish with the promised card.

The signing of the contract for the WWE Universal Championship opened the show. Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman both explained why they thought they were going to win the Clash of Champions.
AJ Styles interrupted by Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. The Phenomenal One demanded that he and his friends get shot at by the men in the ring to start a fight. Strowman and Rollins vs. Gallows and Anderson were formalized after things calmed down for a moment.
The US champion tried to distract the faces, but the World Champion managed to bring Anderson back for the win. Subsequently, a fight began where the monster among the men accidentally knocked down his future opponent.
This left Strowman alone, and Dolph Ziggler and Bobby Roode took advantage. They ran to the ring, and a five-to-one turn allowed the heels to pose Strowman then Rollins. Everyone held the monster for a phenomenal forearm.

Analysis
It was a fun and memorable opening on Raw. The signature of a typical contract was divided by a third party, which quickly turned the segment into a good match. The post-match loss sold the heels as a real threat for the first time in weeks.
That said, it's embarrassing to have thrown so many championships into a single feud at a time when all titles will soon be in play. Styles do not even have to be American champion for this story to work. .

After their attack in the previous segment, Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode continued their dominant lead against Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder. The Glorious One is connected to a Glorious DDT on Hawkins to make an emphatic statement.

Analysis
There was not much to this game, but he did his job. Roode and Ziggler are good enough to hide their lack of team cohesion. They did not completely crush Hawkins and Ryder, but they also looked like the best duo.
It will be interesting to see how long this story will last. These two could certainly have an impact over time to find their chemistry. Right now, they feel like a random alliance.

Natalya took down Lacey Evans on the ramp, starting the game early. The queen of the harts continued the attack once the bell rang, but the lady found the right turn to escape Natalya long enough to join the women's right.
She threw a handkerchief to Evans and then planted it with his signature punch to win the victory.

Analysis
Despite the fast start, it was a pretty bland game that never really started. Natalya did her best, but it was not enough to make Evans stand out.
At one point, Sassy Southern Belle has to prove she deserves to win such victories. She is far from the title contender, just like her opponent, but Natalya should be higher in the hierarchy at this point.

Becky Lynch went to the ring to talk about her story with Sasha Banks, admitting that she taunted The Boss by getting him back for years of abuse. She called Banks, who answered the call.
While The Boss spoke loudly, she refused to enter the ring with The Man. Instead, she challenged Lynch to a Clash of Champions match that the Raw female champion happily accepted.

Analysis
Despite Banks' persistent difficulties at the microphone, it was another important segment of the most prominent female squabble since WrestleMania. It was as if Banks was the first person on the same level as Lynch, challenging her at her best.
This is the best quarrel that Lynch has had since WrestleMania, and that's just beginning. Let's hope the Clash of Champions contest is only a beginning.

During an interview, the CO unveiled behind the scenes of Cedric Alexander, just because he could, injuring Alexander's left arm. That gave The Lumbar Legacy, who was already healing injuries after his game against Cesaro last week, a huge disadvantage.
Baron Corbin immediately targeted the nasty arm with the help of the steel pole. The Lone Wolf was delighted to attack the arm with submissive movements and elbows. A lucky Alexander dodger sent Corbin the left shoulder into the steel posts, and The Lumbar Legacy sent that arm several times.
The damage is not enough, however. Indeed, the former police officer tripped Alexander and connected to End of Days to win the victory.

Analysis
While Corbin's win is likely to divide the fans, this match was one of the strongest of his career. He slowed things down to isolate Alexander's arm, but he never had the impression that he was slow to gain time. The competition was unleashed and Alexander took over in an emphatic burst.
The chemistry between these two should lead to a serious quarrel on the line. It's a shame that Alexander has not advanced further, but he should be considered as the most likely opponent of Styles at the Clash of Champions.

Brian Thomas and Tyler Hastings made it clear that they came from Pittsburgh to make the most of their luck. The Viking Raiders are not impressed and present both with ease, connecting to the Viking experience for the win.

Viking Raiders continue to win squash matches that they do not need to win. They should fight against legitimate opponents, such as The OC, who fought up to a double disqualification last week.

Samoa Joe called everyone else a liar for proclaiming their victory in King of the Ring, as he was the only one to win the title. In a film interview, Ricochet made his own statement, saying that he could not accept a reality where Joe is king.
The One and Only was not ready for punishment as the Samoan bid specialist distributed while he was stopping Ricochet with a brutal attack particularly concentrated on his legs.
There was no longer Ricochet left to stay in the match. It was a physical war where Joe could not crush The One and Only. The Samoan bid specialist surprised his opponent with a Coquina clutch on the top rope and both fell to the mat with both shoulders down for three.
The referee was not able to make a decision as it seemed like a draw. Corey Graves went behind the scenes to interview referee John Cone, who announced, despite Baron Corbin's anger, that the two men would face next week's semifinal in a triple threat.

Analysis
Before the finish, it was another good performance of the King of the Ring tournament. Joe and Ricochet were great together and delivered their message with a lot of time. It was a technical showcase for Joe carrying Ricochet to the brink.
The end put a brake on everything. There should always be a requirement that there is a winner in a tournament match. Ricochet and Joe are apparently protected by the decision, but neither of them really benefits.

Bray Wyatt started Firefly Fun House by defeating Seth Rollins' winner against Braun Strowman against a Hell in a Cell match. A puppet of Vince McMahon popped up to ask Wyatt not to hurt his fundraisers until The Eater of Worlds gave him money.
Wyatt felt confident in his challenge and used The Fiend to take revenge on those men who had taken a title he rightly deserved.

Analysis
Firely Fun House has always been great and it was nice to find her here especially since it revealed Wyatt's next goal. He could certainly wait for this opportunity and eliminate some other wrestlers first, but the end result had to be a projector of this size.
The dominant Rollins Fiend and winning the title would be the ultimate affirmation of a deadly Wyatt. He waited a year before returning to the ring to allow the WWE to create this character. Now it's time to pay him back.

Cesaro has imposed himself in this match, striking The Miz with precision and throwing it with ease. It seemed that The A-Lister was out of his depth, but he suddenly grabbed The Swiss Superman with a Skull Crushing final for the win.

Analysis
It was a fun sprint, but we did not feel like we had accomplished anything. Miz was dominated all the way through, but he won. He did not look like a title contender, and Cesaro did not benefit from the showcase or the defeat.
It was mostly just filling. The real shame is that these two can certainly match major issues. The problem, as always, is that Cesaro loses so often that he does nothing besides that he will actually win.

In the behind-the-scenes interviews, Bayley and Sasha Banks were asked about their personal relationship despite different points of view, and they refused to say anything.
The banks interrupted this team game early to watch the match closely. After Becky Lynch got the attack and dominated both Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross, The Boss rushed and stabbed The Man with a stab, causing a disqualification.
Banks took a chair only to get him out of Bayley. The Hugger then used this steel chair to lay Lynch herself.

Analysis
It is difficult to make a clear judgment on this segment from the start. The WWE certainly takes a new and surprising direction, but Bayley was doing very well as a baby. She is also in a big feud with Charlotte Flair, who does not work well as a babyface.
The proof of the importance of this segment is that SmackDown Live is suddenly required for viewing. Bayley will have the opportunity to express himself, and it will be interesting to see what will follow.
