Jacoby Brissett's straightforward way served him well.
The Indianapolis Colts revealed to reporters on Tuesday why he had negotiated a lucrative contract extension with the help of an agent. After retiring from the quarterback position last month after Andrew Luck retired, the two Colts on Monday accepted a two-year contract valued at $ 30 million, of which $ 20 million guaranteed.
Brissett blinked when negotiating his own contract, as he did in 2016 after the New England Patriots brought him back to the third round. When asked why he was treating himself, Brissett proposed a perfectly clear answer and NSFW, according to Zak Keefer of The Athletic.
In addition to being a capable quarterback to the NFL, Brissett is clearly an elite sniper.
He will lead the Colts against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday in the inaugural 2019 team game.
